It's America's Birthday weekend =) Hurrrray. I cannot wait for fireworks at the beach tomorrow! And guess what? ---I'm working this weekend. Yays. I'll post again tomorrow... ciao!
PS... coming soon to my etsy.... vintage necklaces. I've been collecting vintage charms and I'm so excited about these!

I went and saw Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen last night.
To be quite honest, during some action scenes in almost all action movies I get bored within a few seconds because there's so much going on and it's just unbelievable... hahaha. But that's just me ;) I loved Transformers, just like I did in with the first movie. I adore Shia LaBeouf.
And a good-looking cast is always a plus ;)
PS: I still want an autobot.

Things that have made me smile so far this summer--
Warm beach weather and natural tans ;)
Looove it. Can't wait to go back again!
Finding my other two mugs in the kiln room. The White Shino is very blah to me and I know how not to use that glaze. However, it did some awesome effects happened to the colored parts. I cannot wait to make more mugs. It was my favorite thing to make in ceramics!
Leftover Margherita Pizza is love. I love thin crust pizzaaa and cpkkkkkk. Mmm. I want more! It's my favorite summer restaurant; I think it's perfect after spending a hot day in the sun :o)
And bunnies running around the house. They're too adorable not to photograph :o)
TGIF, folks! Smile!
- Summer Morning Rachel Field
First of all, summer began for us northern hemisphere folks! I celebrated by heading to the beach to work on my tan! I've been so excited all week to finally have some beach time between thunderstorms that I only slept for about 4-5 hours the night before! (okay, so that isn't the reason why I stayed up so late, but anyway).
I got to the beach with my friend and despite the warning from an older man about the beach being too windy for an umbrella, we lugged it along. Unfortunately, beach day turned into beach hour. The man was right --- it was too windy for the umbrella. It felt like we were having a sand storm because sand kept smacking me in the face and getting everywhere --- even my chewing gum! *crunch, crunch* Siggggggh. We left the beach and headed to CPK for some pizza. Sighs. Another day, I suppose.
What's up in my craft-world? Well, I've been embroidering! If you all are interested in embroidering, check out Sublime Stitching --- they are fabulous. Another awesome tip is to search for your old coloring books! Trace the image of a coloring sheet, then trace it onto your fabric using a disappearing pen (you can find at craft stores), and embroider! Simple as that. The stitching is super easy, and you will have so much fun!
Well, I'm off to campus yet again today. I begin my summer class next week, and I cannot wait! I am taking a photography class, and I'm eager to learn. I will also try and find my two other mugs I glazed a month ago (it's in the studio somewhere!!), but here are two that I did recently. I absolutely love them and cannot wait to create more mugs!
PS: Random fact about me? I collect coffee sleeves! There's a joint at the beach that I discovered yesterday, on Cypress, called Bad Ass Coffee that I'm dying to check out!
Anyway, ciao!
I hope you'll forgive me, I don't post that often anymore. But I don't have many things going on right now that's exciting to share. However, I am thinking of getting my own domain. A few days ago I posted on my twitter that I'm trying to get my own domain. I asked for help, and receive a huge response and now I'm overwhelmed >_< Lols! I have a lot to think about and a lot to learn, so this might not happen for a while.
Yesterday I decided I wanted to try and be a pescatarian. As hard as it might sound, I told myself I should for the summer. I can do this. I love seafood. We'll see how long I last. Probably until my mom decides to make lumpia.
I baked a batch of chocolate muffins, which are insanely delicious. I baked whole-wheat blueberry muffins last week, but a fly managed to squeeze through an opening in the plastic covering and marked its territory. That little bugger. So we threw out almost all of the muffins.
A couple days ago I got a haircut. It was much needed because I haven't had one in more than six months! My hair started getting split-ends, and the shape was gone. I'm so happy for my shorter-ish hair, tons of layering, thinned out, & angled bangs. My head feels SO much lighter.
I'm really addicted to embroidery. I think I'm going to put a border around my deer pillow. It seems blank!! I have a second pillowcase that I just want to cover it up entirely with embroidery... much like one of my doodles. I think that'd be insanely awesome.
I applied to work for a cupcake shop that is being built here at the beach. I'm incredibly excited despite my prediction that I will do work I don't really care for. But.. but... CUPCAKES!! Ahh. I really hope I get the job. I've been job hunting way too long :( Either nobody's hiring or I fill out an application and end up not getting the job. It's really gruesome and bloody (not really)... but True Blood is.
I caught the first episode of True Blood online (bc I don't have HBO). I don't know why I'm addicted to that show, but I am. It's excruciatingly gross and completely opposite of Twilight (well, except for that common vampire loving a human storyline that everyone seems to love... every innocent girl loves a bad boy, yea?) Anyway, I'm so glad Lafayette didn't die! Stupid cliffhangers.
It's been super rainy and vampire-weather lately here in the states. It's really unmotivating. I haven't been able to ride my bike every day without the fear of getting rained on. And I'm quite sadden that I haven't had the chance to lie out on the beach for a tan because almost every weekend, there's rain. I check, every week so I can hang out with friends on the beach. But that little thunderbolt and gray cloud icon keeps showing in my lower left-hand corner of my screen. Sighs. Come on, sunshine weather. At least the summer season is coming this weekend... w00t! Yays.
Anyway, peace out!
My day was lovely, and I'm so sleepy I could fall asleep on my keyboard. But I wanted to tell you the highlight of my day: cupcakes.
There is a bakery down at the Virginia Beach Oceanfront called Coco's Cupcakery, and I visited there today. It's a quaint cupcake & coffee shop that sells DELICIOUS cupcakes. Srsly. The cupcakes are delicious. There's actual FLAVOR to the cupcakes. Unfortunately, I've tasted some gourmet cupcakes that aren't pleasant, but Coco's Cupcakery serves tasty cupcakes. Another cupcake shop called Just Cupcakes will be opening here at the beach this summer that I've already asked for an application to work at.... if I don't get hired, I'm definitely going for the cupcakes.
(Left: carrot cake. Right: red velvet cake)
I have this problem when it comes to projects. You see, when I begin something, I intend to finish it... right then and there. Last night during Game 7 (poor Detroit, I'm sad), I began embroidering a pillowcase I purchased on sale from when Linens 'n Things was going out of business. I snagged this cute embroidery pattern!
How does it look?
As for my hair, it's a mess. Next week I'm getting it re-shaped with chunky layers and angled bangs!
Happy Saturday Night!
<3
That's the number of people that showed up to last night's No Doubt show. It was insaneeee. To be quite honest, it was the most fun I've had in such a long time. I saw so many people I knew there! I mean, come on, you must know at least 1 person out of 17,500.
The Sounds & Paramore opened up for No Doubt. But No Doubt seriously was amazing. I've never been starstruck from all the bands/musicians I've seen at shows, but when I saw Gwen Stefani... I swear, I was completely in awe and starstruck!!
It was absolute chaos. Gotta love the wet grass, cigarette smoke, & the smell of beer... oh, and No Doubt ;)
Few videos and pictures for you all ^_^
PS: Yes, Paramore played the Twilight Song. Apparently that's what everyone calls it! Haha!
All day Saturday.
Was rain, rain, & even more rain! Luckily it ended and we got to enjoy sunny skies in the seventies today.
If you did not know, Friday (always the first Friday of June), was National Donut Day! Since I'm not a huge fan of donuts, it was a surprise that I actually craved a yummy glazed donut from Krispy Kreme.
On Saturday, it was only appropriate to watch Finding Nemo on the tube. It's funny because a lot of people I know watched it last night and tonight! Definitely a classic; gotta love Finding Nemo. It even inspired me to draw in my moleskine, which I haven't done in a while!
I also celebrated my 60th sell at my etsy shoppe! Exciting! I dropped $1.00 on selected cozies, so stop on by and check them out as well as my new stickers!!
Anyway, a few more photos for ya... ;)
Happy Monday! Enjoy!
xo.
A few days ago, while cruising on my morning bike ride, I heard a buzzing. Immediately my heart began to pump because it only means one thing: BEE!
So I panicked. I turned in one direction and I saw the bee swarming around my body. My eyes widen. My heart beated faster.
As the bee circled behind me, I turned around to see if it flew away.
It didn't fly away. It continued to buzz around me and around me... forever.
I did what every normal person would do: flapped my arms around.
Imagine: a girl riding her bike down the street flapping her arms around and screaming like a fool.
Yup. That was me.
I hate bees.
However, one of the better things in the summer time are smoothies and ice cream. Although they taste great year-round, they taste even better in the humid heat air of Virginia.
My new computer obsession? (No--- not the Sims3, I'm real mad I can't afford that at this moment, but hopefully I will... soon... I will... no doubt.) Anyway---creating graphics out of my Him & Her drawings! I've made a couple and they take so much time to create :x And before my ink started to run out, I created even more stickers... from my Him & Her series! So excited about these. You can check them out on my Etsy! Yes! They're for sale here!
Tonight I did a new craft to share a tutorial for you all. I present you the tutorial in picture form because that's all you really need... it's that simple! Enjoy!
I'm off to bed now. I want to read Cinderella from my Grimm's Fairy Tales book, and I made a couple bookmarks for me to use!
Ciao!
xo!
"KEVIN'S A GIRL?!"
Pixar never fails. Their new film, Up, is the sweetest movie ever. I saw it in 3-D and it was beyond amazing. The animation is beyond superb and to be a part of making this movie would be so so so much fun! The movie is so complex, yet it appeals to both kids & adults --- as always. Pixar hardly ever tells the plot of the story in its trailers/previews (because the animation srsly makes you curious enough)---but I will tell you it's about love, living your dreams, and having adventure. Now, go watch the movie. In 3D =P
In the previews, I caught a new film preview for the children's book Cloudy with a chance of Meat Balls... which I'm so so excited for as well!
Anyway!
I'm also so excited (wow, just really excited tonight, huh?) I finished creating my first batch of Sweet & Cute stickers!! The set is created and designed by me and it includes yummy sweets such as cupcakes and ice cream cones! Check them out HERE! You get 17 stickers for $3.00!
Speaking of sweet, I had a children's sundae at Bruster's and it is oh-so-yummy. Since I'm on a healthy kick, I don't think I'll be enjoying one again any time soon. However, I can enjoy the awesome photo I took of it... it's a Kid's Dino Sundae... and I loooove it!
Hope you all had a fab weekend! Happy Monday!
Smile!
xo!
PS: The cutest thing happened to me at the store yesterday. I was squatting down looking at something in Office Max on the bottom shelf, and this mixed-race adorable girl wearing a pink & yellow sundress ran up to me saying, "Moom! Moooom!" She came right up to my face and said it again. I melted and for some reason lost all judgment and before I was about to take her into my heart as my daughter... her father showed up and took her away after apologizing. They walked away and I couldn't help but watch... as they reached the end of the aisle, the girl turns back around with puppy dog eyes, "Moooom..." It's as if she was looking at me and saying, "Don't you know me? I'm your daughter!" So cute. So so soooo cute.
PS: The fun has begun on Elsie's Page for Monday! I'll be there all day and crafting away hoping to win some real cool prizes. Loooove Red Velvet Art!!!!
