Sigh. I don't know how many of you all still use Vox, but I miss you guys. Anyway, I had a fun 4th watching fireworks.
I love fireworks. It rained right after the fireworks ended and I was stranded at a local 7-11 standing around with a bunch of ignorant teenagers talking shit and trying to steal stuff. Lame. Srsly. I hated high school kids when I was in high school, and things haven't changed. /end rant.

Jordan left today, up north for the week, so we won't be talking for an entire week! (No signal) I wonder what that's going to be like. Sigh. I remember when I left Japan and Hawaii---I never cried. Joey, one of my Japan friends, said that I would cry. But... I proved him wrong (why? I don't know)---but I didn't cry. No, no, no. I cried the first social day I set foot in this state: the first day of high school... until the beginning of Junior year. Anyway, my point is that I don't ever know what I have until it's gone---though, that's most of us, right? Anyway.
Life, as I know it, is slowly regaining its awesomeness. I don't know if it's the Starbucks Caramel Frappuccino I had a few hours ago or if I'm just high on life, but I'm doing all right--- all things considered.
I went shopping at Target today. It's so hot and humid out today, and I didn't use the AC because I was running low on gas. I bought a new brightly-colored (do I hyphen? with an adverb?) striped towel and newly colored lights for my bathroom. That's my summer project, rather one of my summer projects---to redecorate my bathroom! Jeff is gone for the summer, so he'll get a huge surprise once he sees my girl-inspired bathroom! I'm so excited. I also bought Sierra Mist Free. Yum.
Jordan sent me a download for Jason Mraz's We Sing, We Dance, We Steal Things album which I love! He also sent me seven other CD downloads. W00t! I'm really loving this CD though.

I bought Miko a small vanilla shake from Sonic today. She LOVED it! She's having trouble walking with her hind legs (ataxia) which is a side effect that's supposed to go away after a few weeks. But she's acting happier now! She started rubbing her butt on the floor and hopping like a rabbit----like she ALWAYS does when she's super happy and excited! You have NO idea how happy that made me, like, I almost cried with happy tears. You have NO idea how scared I am, but she was so happy for that milkshake. I love her tons.

Unfortunately, the mornings are still hazy (literally) and smoke lingers throughout the southern part of Virginia. You can smell the smoke in the house too. As much as I would like to complain, I like the smell of smoke---it's like the city is having a huge bbq! That's actually bad to say, huh? I sure hope the fires die down soon and I sure hope we get more rain to help out. We had a freak storm yesterday that simulated a mini hurricane; there are branches and leaves scattered in the front and back yard and on the streets and yesterday power went out and traffic lights went off. I was driving at the time, so imagine no traffic lights in the 5 o'clock hour---it was pure madness.
