I'm working on more items than these, but I uploaded them for now. Doodlebooks and Cupcake Magnets are now for sale at my Etsy! Check them out, thanks! http://dearbarbz.etsy.com
My doodle books are made like an accordion and are composed with various colored construction paper and scrapbook paper. They're really cute and I had a lot of fun making them. I think I got a little out of hand so I had to stop at six doodlebooks =P You can doodle, write, paste photos--really anything with them.
This little doodle of mine had a position of Explore #10 (it was page 1!) yesterday, which made me incredibly smiley. I didn't think it'd be that popular. Haha.
Anyway, check out my etsy.
Oh, and I got a livejournal. Unsure of what I need it for bc I wanna stay on Vox. But I know many of you have it and I'd like to keep in touch. So, add me: http://heybarb.livejournal.com/
I had a wonderful day hanging out with my family. We had roast beef and this seafood gratin (had lobster, halibut, shrimp in it) and it was delicious. I also hang out with my friends at night and Jose Cuervo stopped for a visit. I don't know where he came from. And we played a new game called Pictureka, and that was SO MUCH FUN. We need to reinstate game/movie night at their place. I should add that to my 2009 New Year's Resolution. We all also decided to join the rec center together, so two of my best friends and I will start going to the gym together. Anyway, it was a fabulous day.
I baked a truck-load of Chocolate Crackle Cookies and cupcakes for family and friends. I have such a fun time decorating cupcakes, I wish I had more to give!
Anyway, I had such a fun day <3 And I hope you all did as well. Today I'm going to play with my presents more (I got a 120GB iPod Classic which I LOVE from my parents). Also, I'm going to see Bedtime Stories this afternoon. Adam Sandler <3
PS: I've made my list of New Year's Resolutions. I must've gained about twenty pounds this year, no joke. I'm such an emotional eater. I'm so excited for 2009. It's the Year of the Ox---which is my year. Unfortunately while researching Year of the Ox yesterday online, I also found out I was born on Doomsday. I'm not exactly sure what that means, but it doesn't at all sound good.
Happy Boxing Day!
Today I'm going to bake Christmas cupcakes.
And probably head over to B&N for some reason only for me (magazines to read?), create Sanrio Doodle Books, maybe head to the gym to change my membership, finish wrapping gifts, and... put presents under the Christmas tree!
XOXO!
Today I finished up DoodleBooks. I'm not quite ready to set up shop after Christmas, but I'm getting there. I'm having a little too much fun creating DoodleBooks and I don't know if they'll sell.
I got a hot chocolate from Starbucks because it's freezing cold outside, and I think I heard Polar Bears howl just now. Or not. But it's freaking cold. I added marshmallows to my hot chocolate because I think Sbux really is holding back. Sometimes their espresso (like Vanilla Lattes and Macchiatos) taste like... dare I say, crap. Sometimes I can't stand the taste. I should bite my tongue. Better yet, chop it off. How dare I say that about Sbux? Oh, I love you Sbux.
I got a lovely Christmas Greeting from a wonderful childhood friend. She reads my vox from time to time, and I think that's sweet. I don't know too many of my offline friends who read my vox, so that makes me smile that she does.
Nothing else to update with, so I leave you with photos. I hope you all are having a great Christmas season. I believe you all have been busy this season.
I made Doodle Books that will be for sale at my etsy soon. I'll be cleaning my etsy after Christmas, and I plan on updating with goodies. *Crosses Fingers*
PS: I just learned that Cola is actually a flavor. And Coke and Pepsi are two different companies with COLA flavors. All these years I thought "Cola" was just a nickname like Coke for Coca-Cola. ... ... ... And Dr. Pepper is a flavor of itself. This took me a while to understand.
2) New Project! I bought a few new fabrics. I'm beginning to learn how to make zipper pouches to sell on my Etsy. Wish me luck! *crosses fingers and toes*
3) I finally get to post what I made for Cin! It's an accordion notebook (two sides: a color side, and a blank white side)! Perfect for on-the-go doodlage :o)
Anyway! Presenting my christmas tree! It's a tree too green, if you know what I mean. (Yes, I made that rhyme on purpose). I've been trying to find garland, but the price was too high and the length was too short, and all the green was on the tree. (green as in money that time).
Enough of my silliness. Enjoy the photos.
Good night.
I made some felt bears tonight with bells for tails.
I'm not sure what I want to do with them.
I painted for a second day in a row. Yesterday's painting is a Christmas gift; today's painting is my own. I was planning on selling my paintings on Etsy (replicating old moleskine pages or new ones), but I grow rather fond of my paintings. Instead, I'm trying to learn how to create ACEO prints. If any of you know how to create quality prints of work, please let me know. I'm at a loss, and I don't have a mentor =P
Happy Friday, ya'll.
