I woke up in the wee-morning at 6:51 AM, took a shower, got dressed, colored on mascara, skipped breakfast, and sped off to campus. (There was SO much parking) Anyway, I met my group at 9 AM to discuss the last minute details before our presentation tomorrow morning. Figures, that slacker in our group didn't show. What did we do? We assigned her nothing. Tomorrow, when we present, she is going to stand up in front of the class with us NOT SAYING A WORD. She's lucky we're letting her stand up there with us when she did jackshit for the project. Whateverrrr.
After our meeting, I drove back to my city and stopped by Target where I bought some cheddar rice cakes and 27 Dresses. Woohoo. Such a cute DVD case!
I got so much school work done today it's not even funny. I worked so hard. Unfortunately, I didn't have a chance to go to the gym because I was way too busy. I had to do a lot of school work today before my training/work tonight. And -don't be mad- I had papa john's for dinner. TWO SLICES. Typical college student---right? Cramming in last minute school work and pizza---srsly. But I had so much to do and I didn't care about anything else! Tomorrow I will be back to my healthier eating, but just let me finish this mocha frappuccino light.
Training was fun. We did a number of games, but the majority of the night was dedicated to Speed Stack. What's speed stack you ask? Well, check out this YouTube video:
I made one more unhealthy stop at Super-Starbucks (drive-thru) before heading home. I asked the lady if I could have a decaf frappuccino, and she said yes. But when I asked for a Tall Mocha Frappuccino Light--decaf, she said I couldn't have decaf with a light drink. Boo. I choose to get the light over decaf because of the fewer calories >.> When I rolled up to the counter, a tall blonde guy was there. I haven't been to Super-Starbucks in weeks, and I didn't recognize him. Did a little bit of flirting >.> He asked me this silly question as he handed me the recipet, "They make me say it." He leaned down and said that I should have gotten a decaf. I told him I tried and knew I won't be sleeping tonight. He asked what time I had to be up and I said 7, "That's not early---I had to wake up at 3!" I told him at least he has coffee and he goes, "I don't drink coffee, I like the creme-blended drinks." Haha. Oh, dear. I did a lot of shameless flirting tonight.
Anyway! I'm home now. Wide awake and in such a good mood.
Oh, did I tell you? I lost four pounds. Hellzyeah. I hope I didn't gain it back after two slices of pizza and a tall mocha frappuccino light...
PS: I have orientation to become a substitute teacher next month! New job soon :o]

('cuz I heart Gossip Girl)
Anyway.
When I walked in my house, my mom excitedly told me that I received a letter from Masami. My head shot up and the biggest smile painted across my face. Hearing that I received a letter from her made me forget about my soaked khakis. I rushed to the pile of mail on the table and fished out a letter from my old best friend.
I met her on the first day of 6th grade in the same school I met ALi!, Jules, and Venika. Masami, Ali, and I were the three musketeers. We did everything together and had the best sleepovers. I met the best people in middle school. It's amazing to think how long ago it was and how much we've all changed. We're all scattered about around the globe; we're all leading different lives. I rarely hear from Masami anymore; I know she's busy and everything. We write each other and send each other packages once a year. It's okay that I hear from her sometimes; it makes it even more special.
And to be honest, our friendship is beyond that. It doesn't matter how long we've been apart from each other because we know that we'll always be friends, forever; distance won't change anything.
It's essential to have friendships like the one I have with Masami. And I'm so fortunate to have a lot of friendships like the one I have with her. It's comforting to know that I'll always have her support no matter how long we haven't spoken.
The most beautiful discovery true friends make is that they can grow separately without growing apart.
I started the day off normally with a bowl of Special K Fruit & Yogurt cereal. I woke up somewhere between 6:30-7a. There was no point in me going back to sleep because I had first aid & cpr training at 9:30 (and I had a dream I was late...)
The training was good, and the instructor was some-what entertaining. He works for the emergency rescue squad (I don't know the official name) and he told us a story about a recent rescue operation he experienced. He and his team were called to one of the hotels at the oceanfront. It was this married couple on their honeymoon (why they came to Virginia Beach is a very good question to which I have no answer to give). Anyway, they stayed in one of the honeymoon suites and stayed up all night having married-couple fun. In fact, they had so much fun that when they went on the beach at 7:00a, they fell asleep... and didn't wake up until 6p. It was one of those perfect beach days, and they were red as a tomato. The rescue squad came to the rescue to their suite and they were laying on the bed and couldn't move at all. What a lovely way to end a honeymoon.
Anyway! Saw Baby Mama tonight, pretty good if you ask me. I'm a fan of Tina Fey; I loved Mean Girls. Baby Mama is a good mixture of humor, drama, and love. I enjoyed it very much.
Happy Saturday Night <3
edit.
I forgot to add.
Remember that guy I told you all about last Thursday who followed me and asked if I wanted to buy magazines? I was on campus? Anyway, my friends and I walked around the mall before the movie (we're getting a BUCKLE store! So excited about buckle..) Anyway, we were walking down an aisle when I hear a guy say, "EXCUSE ME!" ...I don't know why, but I turned around. Oh. My Gosh. The same damn guy from campus! What are the odds? Kind of annoying, but I played along with a bit of sarcasm. "Are you allergic to concrete?" *Shakes head* Anyway, I rejected helping him out because, well, I didn't want to play along. But I was nice!! Anyway, we parted but we saw each other again on the other side of the mall with another buddy doing the same thing. One of my friends recognized him from another campus! Srsly. What are the odds. Saw them a couple more times around the mall followed with a "THANKS FOR NOT HELPING ME WIN" ... it was more funny than mean, I promise you. But, my gosh.
I was tagged by the lovely Jules...
The rules:
- Each player starts with 8 random facts/habits about themselves.
- People who are tagged, write a blog post about their own 8 random things, and post these rules.
- At the end of your post you need to tag 8 people and include their names.
- Don’t forget to leave them a comment on their blog and tell them they’ve been tagged, and to come back and read your blog for the whole story
1. I have a fraternal twin brother who is a building taller than me.
Anyway, that was short and sweet because I'm off to my (paid) training for work! Laters! Have a lovely Saturday.
I tag flowers & thorns, Ayesha, leigh, TheFiercestCalm, muppet, Hurricane Hetta, ISLANDXGIRL, & meehshell!
I use the word blah because there's nothing exciting going on in my life right now, and blah is the only word I can think of at the moment (that's how dull things are). Because things have been so blah, I have nothing to write about or doodle.
My first and second class was canceled today. Which is nice because I got to sleep in a whole thirty minutes later than usual. I'm incapable of sleeping in past 8 these days. I guess it's a good thing because I like waking up early and if I ever do sleep in, I'd mess up my good sleep schedule.
I'm also incapable of relaxing. I've forgotten how to relax and a vacation sounds so foreign to me. I mean I'm not doing much now but going to class and working (and I'm not even stressed this semester at all). But the scamper-amount of times I'm out on weekends, whether it's the mall or going to watch a movie, I can't help but list things I should be doing. I'm so far behind. Also, tonight. I couldn't choose what television show to watch; I flipped through channels when the commercials show up because I'm impatient. I watched a little of The Office, 30 Rock, Ace of Cakes, ER, and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
I'm good at this work-out thing and although I'm not losing the weight as fast as I did three years ago, I know that it will show if I keep it up. It's only been a couple of weeks so I should keep going. After a month I'll compare. Until then, I will keep on going three days a week and burning between 400 and 500 calories each day. Mom says she's going to buy me a red bike. I totally said that in a child's voice in my head. I can't wait to ride my red bike around my neighborhood and at the beach (not on the beach, sillies).
I spoiled myself for lunch today. I went to Panera Bread and bought a yummy Classic Salad (with balsamic vinegarette), low-fat chicken noodle soup, a small apple, and lemonade. I ate all of my salad, and some of my soup (saved the apple for later). The lemonade was so refreshing because it was relatively warm out. And for dinner I had shrimp, zucchini, and a small salad (only consisting of romaine and tomato).
Anyway, I hope you all voxerettes are doing well. I'm super happy to have you all as friends^^
Good night.
- School. Srsly hate school. I especially hate it when the teacher calls on me to answer a question, and I answer wrong. Not only once or twice but THREE times and it makes me so frustrated; I wanted to cry. I swear this class teaches the most common sense stuff on classroom behavior techniques, but the trick is to understand the wording and the vocabulary correctly. I'm not good at that shit! Don't make me think critically =( I know I'm in college but I'm just not good at that. I got a damn D in high school Physics. Whattheeff. So over it all. So over this semester. idontcareanymore.
- I sit by the door (three rows away) in my Advertising class at 9:30 on Tuesdays and Thursdays. My class is across the way from the ladies restroom. This morning, in the middle of the lecture, there was a series of flushing happening from the restroom. Okay, thought it was the custodian cleaning. No, about five minutes later I (and along with my classmates) hear someone vomiting and then flushing and then more vomiting and then flushing... SO LOUD for about five more minutes. I kept turning my head towards the door and looking at my classmates' faces as well... we all had a strange looks until we all start giggling. Which, I know is wrong because that vomit girl is sick, but... COME ON. It was disgusting!
- Ate too much popcorn today; I feel stuffed right now. And I had diet pepsi. I haven't had soda in a while, but today was a diet pepsi day. Malt drinks have too many calories. Omg! And I just saw a commercial for Bud Light Lime. I'm dying to try that. I'm not a beer fan, but I'm craving it. Comes out next month. And the bottle is way cute
- Twitterfox is annoying me: I'm seeing blank spots. Work with me.
- Spencer is such an ass; Heidi needs to get voted off the show.
- I hate it when I see my classmates getting vending machine snacks, sodas, & frappuccinos during break... how can they eat that stuff every day and NOT gain weight? Makes me sick, and I ate my grapes in jealousy.
- Rain turned into sunshine at near Noon: forgot my sunglasses at home. I need my sunglasses.
- Those guys that walk around campus that rail you in saying, "Excuse me, can I ask you a question? --- Are you a nice person?" and then "Are you allergic to sitting down?" My gosh. I was in a hurry meeting a classmate at the library, but he insisted on making me sit with him "just for two minutes." I knew what he wanted; he was trying to sell magazines to win a trip somewhere tropical. But I left in a hurry. I remember a couple of years ago this giant guy asked me and actually FOLLOWED ME TO MY CAR, SAT IN MY PASSENGER SIDE, MOVED THE SEAT ALL THE WAY TO THE BACK, ... and I told him I didn't have any money. Hahaha. I'm such a jerk; leave me alone!
- I know weight fluctuates, and my weight fluctuated two pounds lighter this morning. Eeps. It's working. Tomorrow: gym!
- Bok Choy. Mmm. I love Bok Choy.
- Bought Cloverfield.
- Got a lot done for group project.
- My first and second class are canceled on Thursday.
- 8/10 on a quiz when I thought I got 7/10.
- My cupcake short-sleeve sweatshirt.
- I didn't lose my umbrella.
- Resisted buying chocolate at the candy stand.
- Doodled in the moleskine: Happy Earth Day!
- I love Z104's Morning Zoo. I'm hardly listening to the radio early in the morning, but when I do: I love listening to them! They crack me up! Anyway, today is Earth Day and they decided to greet everyone. They said that everyone on earth celebrates Earth Day, so they decided to call different country's embassy's. So funny. I only listened to their calls to Iceland and Jamaica :o)
- My mom's going to buy me a red bike.
My day went rather well. I ate healthy yesterday and today. But I doubt that'll make a difference with my weight. I love Greek salads and Special K Fruit & Yogurt Cereal. Next week is my last full week of classes, and then Finals! Woo!
Anyway, good day. I walked around Target because I was bored this morning, and I found a copy of The Neverending Story on DVD. I plan on purchasing that DVD next week! Have you all seen The Neverending Story? Omg! It's a classic, I've seen it about a million times and I'll forever think Atreyu is cute! I've also seen the second and third movie as well. I was on the phone with Jay and he asked of I've seen The Princess Bride, which I haven't seen fully (only bits and parts). He says that I'll enjoy it (so I must purchase a copy as well.)
So, I leave you with this question to answer as a comment: What movie should everyone watch at least once in his or her lifetime?
